Inside Our Festive Collection 2026: The Stories, Craft & Thinking Behind Our Diwali Curations

There is a particular moment every year when Diwali gifting begins to take over. Gifting catalogues flood inboxes, festive packaging fills shelves, and the familiar question comes around again: What should we gift this year?
For us, that question begins much earlier than the moment a product is chosen. It starts with thinking about the kind of gift we want to put into the world: what it should feel like to receive, what it should say about the person giving it, and what should be possible because it was purchased in the first place. This thinking shaped our 2026 festive collection.
We wanted to create something that felt unmistakably festive and generous, while remaining true to the way we have always approached gifting at Boxes Of Goodness. The collection needed the pleasure and beauty that Diwali deserves, but also the layers of thought that often go unnoticed when a gift is reduced to what is inside the box.
Four distinct worlds, one shared purpose and direction
The idea of the Gather, Brew, Glow and Celebrate collections came from a simple observation: there isn't just one way to experience Diwali, so why should there be one way to gift for it?

GATHER is rooted in the pleasure of sitting around a table with people you enjoy. These curations bring together small-batch foods and thoughtful treats designed to be opened, shared and enjoyed together.
BREW is quieter. It is about the rituals around the celebrations: the first cup of tea in the morning, coffee shared over conversation, an afternoon pause when there is finally a moment to slow down. We wanted these gifts to celebrate the everyday pleasures that make a festive season feel personal.
GLOW draws from the most instinctive symbol of Diwali: light. Here, handcrafted ceramics, candles and home accents bring warmth into a space, with an emphasis on objects that retain something of the person who made them. A slight variation in a handmade piece isn't an imperfection to be hidden; it is evidence of its making.
And then there is CELEBRATE, for the occasions that call for a little more ceremony. These are generous, indulgent curations designed to make an impression while retaining the thoughtfulness that runs through the rest of the collection.
The four worlds may look different, but they have been built around the same question: does everything in this box deserve to be here?
Looking beyond the product
When you look at a finished hamper, it is easy to see only the final composition: the colours, textures and products arranged together. What you don't immediately see is the chain of people and decisions behind it.
A food product represents a farmer, a producer and a team that has turned an ingredient into something worth sharing. A ceramic piece carries the skill of the person who shaped and finished it. An up-cycled element can represent an entire community for whom craft is not simply an aesthetic pursuit, but a source of livelihood.
Our partner network includes women-led businesses, artisans, social enterprises and purpose-driven brands across India. Some are rooted in traditional craft; others are building contemporary businesses around more responsible materials, local production or community livelihoods. Their products allow us to make a gift feel personal while also connecting it to something larger.
Rethinking Luxury
The idea of luxury is changing. There is still a place for beautiful objects, indulgence and abundance particularly at a festival like Diwali, but increasingly, people are also asking where things came from and what they are supporting when they buy them.
For us, that has meant reconsidering what makes a gift feel luxurious. It might be the quality of a beautifully made object rather than how much packaging surrounds it. It might be discovering a food product you haven't encountered before. It might be knowing that a handcrafted piece was made by an artisan whose work helps sustain a traditional skill. Or it might simply be receiving something that you will continue to use long after Diwali is over.
We think of it as a more considered version of luxury: less about excess, and more about intention.
What happens after the gift is opened?
Responsible gifting cannot stop at what goes inside the box. Packaging matters too.
Over the years, we have worked with sustainable packaging partners to rethink what happens to materials once a gift has been delivered. From up-cycled textile waste to alternatives to conventional plastic components, these partnerships are an important part of building a more considered gifting experience.
Our 2025–26 Goodness Report recorded 1,535 kg of textile waste upcycled and 4,195 plastic items saved through our work with sustainable packaging partners.
Numbers like these matter because they make an otherwise invisible part of gifting visible. They also keep us accountable. Impact should not just be intended, it should be measured, shared and continuously improved.
A gift celebrates a relationship
There is one final layer to the curation process: the person receiving the gift. A gift to an employee is different from one to a long-standing client. A close friend calls for something different from a business acquaintance. A host gift, a family gift and an important corporate gift each have their own language.
That is why we have never believed in one definition of the "perfect" hamper. The four worlds give you a starting point. Gather speaks to togetherness; Brew to everyday rituals; Glow to home and craft; Celebrate to generosity and occasion. From there, the products come together to create a gift that feels considered rather than simply assembled.
A little more goodness, by design

Every Diwali, we celebrate light as something that travels from one diya to another without becoming smaller in the process. We like to think there is something similar about a thoughtful gift.
One choice supports a business. That business supports makers and producers. A considered packaging decision can keep waste in circulation. A well-made object can remain part of someone's home long after the festive season has passed. None of these individual actions is enormous. Together, they form the ripple that we have always wanted our gifting to create.
That is what we set out to build into our Diwali 2026 collection: gifts that are beautiful enough to celebrate with, thoughtful enough to remember, and connected enough to remind us that there are always more stories inside a box than the one we see at first glance.
GATHER. BREW. GLOW. CELEBRATE. Four ways into the collection, and countless stories behind them. This Diwali, gift a little more GOODNESS.
