Level up your fashion with sustainability

Fashion has seen many new changes and trends. With the rising awareness about sustainability and eco-friendly practices, the concept of sustainable fashion and ethical clothing has become a conscious choice over trendy, one-season wear items and fast fashion.

Here are some tips and tricks to help you level up your fashion with sustainability:

Create a capsule wardrobe: Capsule wardrobe simply means having a limited and practical collection of clothes that are interchangeable and allows you to create as many outfits. This is an affordable, stress-free and more importantly a practice that doesn’t harm the planet.

Invest in local fashion: For upgrading your wardrobe in a sustainable way, invest in local fashion. This is not only an eco-friendly choice but also cuts down the carbon footprint that the big brands would have to ship their products world-wide.

Prioritise consciously-made brands: While adding new items to your collection, opt for eco-friendly and sustainable brands that use high quality fabrics made from non-synthetic and natural materials. Look for recycled, fair trade or organic pieces to add to your wardrobe.

Care for your clothes: Extend the life of your clothes by taking better care of them. Wash them properly with natural, chemical-free detergents and try to mend or repair items instead of discarding them.

Eco friendly accessories: Fashion is not only about clothing, but also about the accessories we wear with it. Choose accessories made from sustainable materials like recycled metals, natural fibres, and ethically sourced stones. This includes jewellery, bags, hats, shoes etc.

In this fast paced industry, be mindful and ethical and choose your actions while keeping the safety of our planet in mind.

Be sustainable, be green.
