Project 1000: Empowering Women Entrepreneurs

Project 1000, an initiative by the Shanti Seva Nidhi Trust, empowers rural women by transforming factory textile waste into home decor products. Using traditional hand weaving and macramé skills, they train rural artisans in Maharashtra to create baskets, mats, and décor pieces from upcycled yarn. This effort keeps plastic out of landfills.

Beyond craft, the program provides training in design, quality control, and business skills. This training gives women both income and confidence. Through our collaboration, 400+ kg of textile waste has been diverted from landfills and reimagined into thoughtful, eco-luxury gifting. With every product, Project 1000 preserves craft, restores dignity, and promotes circular living.

Phool: Turning Temple Flowers into Change

Every day, tons of temple flowers end up in India’s rivers, polluting sacred waters. Phool solves this problem by upcycling floral waste into incense sticks, cones, and biodegradable packaging. This creates a circular solution that honors both tradition and the environment.

The Jai Vakeel Foundation is one of India’s oldest and largest non-profits. They empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. From vocational training to life skills, they help children and adults live with dignity and independence.
