At Boxes of Goodness, every gift is designed to create joy for both the person receiving it, and for everyone involved in making it. But how do you measure something as layered as impact?

We believe that impact should be measured, shared, and continuously improved. Each year, we try to do this through our Goodness Report.
We track a set of key indicators that help us understand the social, environmental, and business footprint of our work, and how it evolves each year.
So here’s what we measure, and how we track our social & environmental impact:
Our Impact Partners
The foundation of our impact lies in the organisations and young enterprises we work with. In 2025–26, we collaborated with 69 active impact partners that included social enterprises, NGOs, artisan collectives, and small businesses, which grew our impact partner network to 120 partners. We onboarded 16 new partners, expanding both our reach and the diversity of stories behind our gifts.
Why it matters: Each impact partner represents a local community, a craft, or a cause. Growing this network allows us to deepen and diversify our impact.
2. Women-Led Businesses
A key focus area for us is supporting women entrepreneurs who are trying to create wholesome, homegrown brands but may not have the network to scale or reach out to more customers. Through us, they are able to expand their reach. This year, 80% of the impact partners we worked with were women-led.
Why it matters: Supporting women-led enterprises creates ripple effects: stronger families, more resilient communities, and greater economic independence.
3. Sustainable Livelihoods Generated
Behind every product is the time, skill, and effort put in by artisans, women, and rural communities. In 2025–26, our support contributed to creating 6,199 hours of employment for our partners.
Why it matters:This reflects real economic opportunities created through our supply chain - from artisans and makers to packaging and logistics.
4. Waste Diverted from Landfills
Sustainability is built into our curation process. Our gift hampers are made from up-cycled/ recycled materials and are designed to be reusable and collectible.
This year, through our partners, we recycled 1,535 kg of textile waste and up-cycled 4,195 plastic waste items, saving them from landfills.
Why it matters: These are tangible outcomes that reduce waste and encourage circular production practices.
5. Lives Touched
Perhaps the most meaningful metric we track is the number of people impacted by our work.
In 2025–26, our ecosystem contributed to touching the lives of 391,678 people.
This includes artisans, entrepreneurs, farmers, rural women and communities, differently-abled adults, and their families; reflecting the wider social impact of every order placed. We calculate both our direct and indirect reach, based on data shared by our impact partners.
Why it matters: It helps us understand the true reach our work, and how it impacts the lives of entire communities.
6. Orders Fulfilled & Gifts Delivered
Every order represents an opportunity to create impact. Each year, we track the number of gifts shipped and orders fulfilled, helping us understand the scale at which impact is being created through our platform.
This year, we’ve been able to deliver 2000+ gifts across over 16 states in India, expanding the reach of conscious, impact-driven gifting in India.
Why it matters: As this number grows, so does the demand for conscious gifting, directly translating into more work for our partners and greater environmental impact through responsible sourcing.
7. Repeat Customers & Corporate Clients
Sustained impact is only possible when clients align with our vision and truly believe that their consistent conscious choices can create long-term change. In 2025–26, 76% of our customers were repeat clients, including a growing number of corporate partners who continue to prioritise meaningful gifting.
Why it matters: Repeat engagement signals a deeper shift from one-time purchases to long-term commitment toward conscious, impact-driven gifting.
Beyond the Numbers
While these metrics help us track progress, they don’t capture everything. They don’t show the pride of a maker seeing their work appreciated. They don’t show the confidence of a woman building her own enterprise. They don’t show the quiet transformation of communities over time. But they help ensure that these stories continue. Our Goodness Report also captures some of the stories of change each year, through Impact Spotlights.
Looking Ahead
As we prepare to release our Goodness Report 2025–26, these numbers serve as milestones that will continue to guide us, challenge us, and remind us of the responsibility we carry and the vision we want to make a reality - a world where every gift gives back.
✨ Stay tuned for our Goodness Report 2025–26.
